Developer banteg revealed that Super Smash Bros. Melee has been fully decompiled — a project started in July 2020 that took over six years, hugely accelerated by LLMs and finished with Astra, covering 3.88MB of compiled code.
Built on that work, a mixed-reality port now runs on Meta Quest: the stage is your coffee table, and players can even hang off the ledge.
