Sakana AI partners with Sumitomo to push domestic AI to 100,000 companies

Nikkei reports that Sakana AI has formed a business alliance with Sumitomo Corporation and its IT unit SCSK, leveraging Sumitomo's network of roughly 100,000 corporate customers to bring Japanese-made generative AI to large enterprises and SMEs. The report notes Japanese companies' generative AI adoption stands at 54%, lagging the US (76%) and China (73%), and the tie-up aims to move domestic AI into a mass-adoption phase.
