Wildeford: Anthropic should let researchers, not comms, speak authentically
peterwildeford · x · 2026-09-10
Peter Wildeford asked Claude Fable 5.1 to grade Anthropic's corporate statement on the recent controversy; the model called it "a resume, not a response" — five sentences of credentials with zero engagement — grading it B- for comms and D for intellectual honesty relative to what Hubinger and Marks said the same day. Wildeford argues Anthropic should replace its comms team with researchers communicating authentically, since "the corporate-speak feels super fake."
