DroneBridge for ESP32 is a lightweight open-source telemetry bridge that connects a flight controller to a ground station using a $10 ESP32 board over Wi-Fi or ESP-NOW.
- It carries MAVLink telemetry via UART between the ESP32 and flight controller, letting QGroundControl or Mission Planner receive flight data wirelessly
- Recommended first setup is a single board in Wi-Fi AP mode, flashed via the online tool, wired with 5V/GND/TX/RX (RTS/CTS disabled if not using flow control)
- Good for single-drone telemetry experiments, but no video transmission or radio control, and the docs warn against using it as a safety-critical link
