JBSDC posted that, given where things stand, essentially every Member of Congress and statewide elected official/candidate will need an AI safety policy position by Friday — and staffers without one have just 48 hours to find it. AI safety researcher Jacques (@jachiam0) publicly offered to help any staffer figuring this out. The exchange highlights how quickly AI safety is becoming a mandatory political stance in US legislatures.
