The Decoder · rss · 2026-09-10
Anthropic published an economic model outlining three scenarios for the US economy through 2030. In the extreme scenario, output doubles every 4.5 years and knowledge-worker unemployment hits 17.9%.
Notably, CEO Dario Amodei's own May warnings about job losses land squarely in that most extreme bucket — the company's own model frames its CEO's bleakest forecasts as an outlier.
