Apple's first event under new CEO John Ternus (who replaced Tim Cook on Sept 1) debuted two phones: the book-style iPhone Duo foldable and the iPhone 18 Pro.
- iPhone Duo: 7.6" inner / 5.4" outer display, grade-5 titanium, IP68, A20 Pro chip with Apple's C2 modem, dual 48MP cameras (no telephoto), Touch ID side button, Apple Pencil support later; from $2,000 (256GB), shipping October — matching Samsung's Z Fold pricing in a category Apple is seven years late to.
- iPhone 18 Pro: 2nm A20 Pro with two "desktop-class" cores, 3x better cooling, 48MP main camera with variable aperture.
