- Stripe agreed three weeks ago to buy AI model aggregator OpenRouter for a reported $7.5B; OpenRouter's 5.5% fee on credit purchases is essentially what Stripe paid for.
- Before the deal even closes, competitor Straitly opened public access to 177 models with 5% cashback on closed-source models and 10% on open-source, plus high rate limits, 99.8% reliability and ZDR.
- Straitly says it has processed 150B tokens since its waitlist launch and claims up to 25% savings vs OpenRouter/Vercel.
