Don't Pause AI — Build Auditable, Trustworthy Agents to Watch the Other Agents

benfielding · x · 2026-09-09

Developer Ben Fielding argues we don't need to pause AI development just because 10,000 agents can do hundreds of years of human work in seconds — we need to build trustworthy agents whose goals and alignment we can fully verify and audit, to watch the others and report back.

His analogy: humans already don't read every server log worldwide; we use tools to scrape, parse, and alert. The same approach applies to supervising massive agent fleets with AI — the key is an auditable oversight layer.
