Tim Cook's successor John Ternus will host Apple's biggest fall event in years on Sept 10: breaking with 20 years of tradition, no standard iPhone — just two iPhone 18 Pro models and the first foldable iPhone, nearly a decade in the making. Per Mark Gurman, the foldable is named iPhone Duo with a 5.5-inch outer and 7.8-inch inner display, 4.5mm unfolded, magnetic titanium-aluminum hinge, and first-ever Apple Pencil support for iPhone; pricing starts around $2,000 (256GB) with top configs near $3,000, possibly ¥14,999 in China, shipping as early as October, likely eSIM-only.\n\nThe Duo and both Pros are expected to use TSMC 2nm A20 Pro chips with 12GB RAM and Apple's C2 modem. The 18 Pro line gets a smaller Dynamic Island, a dark red color, and possibly a mechanical variable aperture on the Pro Max, with prices likely up $100 each due to memory cost spikes. AirPods 5 upgrade noise cancellation, Apple Watch brings back ceramic and adds a Readiness health app. For Chinese users the big question is Apple Intelligence: Alibaba Qwen and Baidu partnerships have cleared filing, but Apple's site still says timing depends on regulatory approval.
