Deleting Chrome history doesn't delete Google's copy: how to wipe My Activity

Clearing Chrome only removes data stored on your device — Google keeps a separate copy of your searches, watch history, and typed input tied to your account in "My Activity."

To wipe it: Gmail app → profile picture → Manage your Google Account → Data & privacy → History settings → My Activity → Delete → "All time" → confirm. The author notes it's worth scrolling through the page first — most people have never opened it.
