Microsoft Reactor is running MCP Live!, a half-day livestream covering the Model Context Protocol end to end: its role as the open standard for connecting AI models to tools and data, ecosystem adoption, hands-on MCP server building, and enterprise readiness (auth, governance, security).
Agenda includes the state of MCP (Caitie McCaffrey, Microsoft), MCP at GitHub, a unified MCP layer in Microsoft Foundry, building MCP servers with VS Code, MCP authorization (DCR/EMA) from Okta/Auth0 and Anthropic, FastMCP apps (Jeremiah Lowin, Prefect), and event-driven agents powered by MCP (AWS).
