Anthropic researcher Evan Hubinger said flatly: "we really do earnestly believe AI could kill all humans," putting his personal odds at >10% within the next decade, while admitting Anthropic has no plan to solve alignment for superintelligence.
Safety researcher Jeffrey Ladish added he can't quantify literal extinction risk but finds the current pace "frankly terrifying," crediting some costly OpenAI actions while stressing no single company or country can solve this—coordination is needed urgently.
