AI taught itself to control a robot arm and paint the Golden Gate Bridge

Someone gave an AI agent (Astra) a robot, a paintbrush, and a camera, and had it paint the Golden Gate Bridge in the real world. The model taught itself to control the robot and improved with each attempt.

Per the follow-up: it plans 1 minute of motion ahead, monitors execution in the background, adjusts on the fly, accepts feedback after each run, updates its own instructions, and independently developed a calibration method to fix errors. The timelapse is striking.
