Robot with brush and camera taught itself to paint the Golden Gate Bridge

Someone wired up a robot arm with a paintbrush and camera to an AI agent (Astra), which taught itself to control the robot and paint the Golden Gate Bridge in the real world, improving with every attempt.

The workflow: it plans 1 minute of motion at a time, monitors execution in the background and adjusts on the fly. The owner gives feedback after each run — sometimes just asking "can you do better?" — and lets it update its own instructions. After a few initial anchor points, it figured out its own calibration method and kept correcting errors autonomously. The timelapse is impressive.
