Scry: open-source self-hosted game streaming applies DLSS 5 to any game
kingroka · reddit · 2026-09-09
A developer released Scry, an MIT-licensed open-source self-hosted game streaming platform inspired by the leaked DLSS 5 neural rendering and a Steam Remote Play color bug. Built with OpenAI's latest Astra model, Scry applies DLSS 5 to the video stream itself — no game modding, native support, reshade, or DLL patching required, so any game can use it.
- Known caveats: higher input latency than direct modding, notable flickering in low-light scenes, and quality/performance tradeoffs to tune manually.
- Compatible with Linux and Windows, but only tested on Linux; bug reports go to GitHub issues.
