Robot arm self-calibrates with 3 uncalibrated cameras, hits sub-0.2mm accuracy

A striking demo of Google Astra's spatial understanding: with three completely uncalibrated cameras — no intrinsics, no extrinsics — a single prompt plus a tiny follow-up got the robot arm to nudge itself, learn how each camera sees motion, work out the brush tip's 3D offset, and verify it at new angles. Final camera-measured tip movement error was under 0.2 mm. The run shows how frontier multimodal models could remove manual camera calibration from robot deployment workflows.
