GPT-6 Astra lands on Amazon Bedrock with 1M-token context and first Critical cyber rating

- OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra is generally available on Amazon Bedrock, callable via APIs or configured in ChatGPT Work and Codex; new enterprise plugins extend its browser-use to BI tools, Workday, Navan, and Avalara.
- Capabilities: up to 1M input tokens for contract review, cross-codebase diagnosis-to-test fixes, and continuing workflows through software UIs when APIs are missing. Explicit/implicit prompt caching cuts repeated-context cost and latency.
- Astra is the first OpenAI model rated Critical for cybersecurity capability under the Preparedness Framework, with automated safeguards that can pause or stop activity in real time.
- Governance: chip-level zero operator access, encryption in transit/at rest, IAM controls, CloudTrail logging, VPC/PrivateLink and data perimeters; inference data isn't used for training and zero-retention is available.
