Robotics class hands out 12 pre-built SO-101 arms so students jump straight to calibration
YuXiang_IRVL · x · 2026-09-09
A robotics instructor shares that his class now distributes 12 pre-built SO-101 robot arms, thanks to a TA. Last year students assembled the arms from scratch; this year they skip assembly and jump straight into arm calibration, maximizing hands-on robot time. A useful datapoint for anyone teaching with low-cost open-source robot arms.
