Meta launches Muse personal agent with sandboxed cells and non-overridable Sentinel guard
alexandr_wang · x · 2026-09-09
Meta launched Muse, a personal AI agent that runs subagent swarms, builds its own tools, and edits itself — and published a detailed safety writeup. Key points: the model was trained for zero-shot CLI tool calling, long context, prompt-injection-aware long-trajectory instruction following, and multi-agent coordination; the harness runs in an isolated cell with no real credentials; every external interaction passes through a Sentinel the agent cannot override. Hardening came from dogfooding, agentic red teaming, and a private bug bounty. Scale AI CEO Alexandr Wang called it the bar for personal agents going forward.
