Verdict: not surprising as a mathematical destination — Córdoba–Martínez-Zoroa built the scale-by-scale amplification program, Alpöge–Buckmaster pushed through IPM, 2D Boussinesq and forced 3D Euler with Lean a day earlier, and Tao publicly said the method looked ready. OpenAI then spent a weekend and a few million dollars of agents finishing the viscous case.
