Singapore launches world's first governance framework for agentic AI with four accountability pillars

Singapore's IMDA released the Model AI Governance Framework for Agentic AI, reportedly the world's first governance framework for AI agents—systems that autonomously read files, update databases, send emails, and make payments, where damage occurs before anyone notices.

The framework is voluntary with no fines but is becoming a reference document for auditors and large clients. Its four dimensions: bound the agent's access upfront, make humans actually accountable (not just nominally in the loop), log everything technically, and keep end-users informed. A companion video walks through an invoice-approval agent quietly paying fraudulent invoices for six weeks after all four dimensions failed.
