Meta has launched Muse, a "personal AI agent" designed to put AI in the hands of virtually anyone — the latest step in a multi-billion dollar strategy overhaul to catch up with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.

Muse handles everyday tasks and projects like online shopping, emails, and trip planning. Given a goal, it can work autonomously: opening a browser, filling out forms, and even negotiating on the user's behalf — marking Meta's pivot from chatbots to autonomous, task-executing agents.
