Reflecting on his YC batch, alexdanilowicz says YC quietly turns one of two technical co-founders into a salesperson. He resisted the idea at first, but sales is now his favorite part of the job. His advice: study CS, then go into sales anyway — being technical and able to sell is a rare, compounding combination.
