Failure memories beat success memories: agent team shares memory findings

The Rakuen Software team reports a surprising finding from experimenting with agent memory: success memories carry little value unless they capture the "why," while coherent failure memories transfer across a wide range of tasks. Watching models that couldn't do something become capable with only failure memory, they also observed rising capability and falling token usage over time. Full methodology is in their blog post.
