qacman turns QR codes into playable Pac-Man mazes with custom skins
ezshine · x · 2026-09-09
- qacman converts text or a URL into a QR code that doubles as a playable Pac-Man maze
- Key trick: uses Level-H error correction, protects finder patterns and data modules, then carves maze paths through tolerance-capable modules so the code stays scannable
- New feature: custom skins — characters and ghosts can use any public image URL or emoji; the author demoed a dynamic Pac-Man QR code made for RustChinaConf
- Supports keyboard/touch controls, ghost count settings, video recording, and website embedding
