Claude.ai project memories silently switched to shared file-based system, user reports

A user found Claude's project memory reset overnight: per-project scoped summaries were emptied and converted to the file-based system, so Claude can now read memories from all projects and the global store even inside a project (write remains scoped). No official documentation exists. The user prefers file-based memory overall but is concerned about cross-project privacy leakage.
