Axios and Wired reported new details behind OpenAI's claim that an internal AI model produced a proof resolving the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem. OpenAI reportedly kicked off the effort on September 1 after researchers heard rumors that two Millennium Prize problems had been solved; per Axios, 10,000 concurrent agents worked on it and reached a result in about 88 hours.
