A full AI stack costs $1K/month vs $80K for the org doing the same work
martyjbeard · x · 2026-09-09
The author argues a company can now exist before it has an org chart. A complete AI stack might run about $1K/month, while the classic org structure supporting the same work costs $80K/month. CEOs don't need to hire Forward Deployed Engineers — FDEs are largely a new revenue stream for large consulting firms. Instead, they should rethink their plans and org, use the AI they already have, and "be an agile startup again."
