gpu-lexer is fast via WebGPU and off-main-thread, but not yet a replacement, author says

gpu-lexer author Shu Ding explained that performance comes from WebGPU—especially on large sources—and that it doesn't block the main CPU thread.
He cautions that highlighters have different pipelines and use cases, and this experimental project can't yet fully replace any of them.
