Reddit debate: should research agents split search, verification, and synthesis?

Prompted by Sante's BrowseComp result, a Reddit poster argues research agents need not do everything in one model: one part searches, another verifies sources, another synthesizes. The open question is whether task division actually improves hard research or just adds coordination overhead.
