DeepMind launches AlphaGenome Atlas: molecular predictions for 9 billion DNA variants

GoogleDeepMind · x · 2026-09-08

Google DeepMind introduced AlphaGenome Atlas, a platform precomputing the molecular effects of all 9 billion possible single-nucleotide variants in the human genome — a 1-petabyte dataset over 30x larger than the AlphaFold Database.

The Atlas unifies interconnected resources into an intuitive portal so researchers can link genetic variants directly to the molecular mechanisms they disrupt. It is free for academic research via the Atlas website.
