Fei-Fei Li's Group Hiring Postdoc on LLM+RL for Long-Term Human Well-Being
Diyi_Yang · x · 2026-09-08
Profs. Diyi Yang (Fei-Fei Li's group) and Emma Brunskill at Stanford are recruiting a postdoc with LLM and RL expertise to build AI systems for long-term human well-being; applications due 09/15.
Rishi Bommasani, who will work with both advisers, frames the stakes: doing concrete work on highly uncertain long-term AI outcomes—and bending the trajectory toward human welfare—is hard but critical. In 10-20 years, whether AI's systemic effects look more like the Internet (positive) or social media (negative) will be key to judging whether today's AI revolution went well.
