Arm announced its AI Portal on September 8, shipping pre-optimized Qwen, Gemma and YOLO models with performance data and deployment examples, and stating that coding agents can access Portal resources via MCP. Agent-ready resources are in early access while bring-your-own-model tooling is 'coming soon', and the numbers are vendor claims without independent validation. The author argues that agent-driven model selection should log the exact model and quantization, runtime version, target device, benchmark inputs and task-quality checks — otherwise 'fastest in the catalog' is hard to reproduce or compare later.
