bobo-the-merciful · reddit · 2026-09-08
Given one identical prompt (knight sprites for a medieval 2D isometric game that doesn't exist yet), Codex CLI with GPT-6 Astra XHigh delivered a single 16-pose sprite sheet, while Claude Code CLI with Fable 5.1 XHigh produced 992 frames across four palettes plus a Python generator and browser preview. The author also built the comparison video with Astra in Codex CLI using Remotion, ElevenLabs voice, and programmatic music.
