Mistral raises €3B to scale training and inference compute for sovereign AI

Mistral CEO Arthur Mensch announced the company has just raised €3 billion to scale training and inference compute and push open, sovereign AI to the technology frontier. He thanked supporters and expressed excitement for the fight ahead, amid replies hoping Europe can form a third pole against frontier labs in China and the US.
