Xiaomi launches invite-only beta of MiMo Desktop, an agent that ships finished work

Xiaomi's MiMo team has opened an invite-only beta for MiMo Desktop, positioned not as a chat window but as a desktop agent that ingests raw materials — Office files, images, video, audio, even zips — understands the goal and ships finished, editable output.
Key capabilities:
- Live previews: games, dashboards and demos run in-session with no local frontend setup, so you can click, break and iterate;
- Edit by selection: click or box-select any region, describe the change, and only that part updates — every revision is versioned with rollback;
- Smart dispatch: routes tasks across office/coding/research frameworks by complexity, dynamically picks models, and splits complex work into parallel sub-agents with end-to-end status;
- Cost control: cache hit rates up to 99% within a session and 95% across sessions; local edits avoid full regeneration to cut token cost;
- Browser & computer control: opens pages, extracts content, auto-fills forms; the global version can drive keyboard and mouse across desktop apps, with Record & Replay flows reusable via natural language.
A Self-Evolve engine continuously improves its own code. Beta invitees also get limited free access to next-gen MiMo models. Not yet available in the UK, South Korea, EU and certain other countries.
