Coval Raises $28M, Launches First Self-Improving Voice Agents With Phonely's Alma Model

Voice AI evaluation platform Coval raised a $28M Series A and partnered with Phonely to launch the first self-improving voice agents, closing the loop between production conversations and agent improvement. Phonely's new Alma model, trained on 10M+ phone calls, is 61% faster than GPT-5.2 and over 80% cheaper than OpenAI's GPT-5 models. The voice AI agents market is projected to grow from $2.4B (2024) to $47.5B by 2034.
