- Traditional in-camera colorimetric mapping interpolates via 1D CCT on the Planckian locus, but modern LEDs deviate substantially from it, causing wrong colors.
- The authors move to 2D chromaticity space and replace CCT interpolation with a lightweight MLP trained via a lightbox calibration with representative LED sources.
