Per Bloomberg exclusive, Anthropic abandoned a potential $6 billion acquisition of Decart, a 100-person Israeli AI startup behind an inference engine claimed to be 8x faster than industry standard. NVIDIA, already an investor, had offered $8 billion in cash; Anthropic's competing offer used $6 billion in pre-IPO stock. Insiders said NVIDIA's offer was more financially attractive, but Decart preferred Anthropic stock—yet the deal ultimately fell through.
