Recovering the full lumbar shape is an ill-posed inverse problem — the missing data is a systematic absence caused by acoustic occlusion and limited probe angles, not filterable noise. Prior supervised approaches train on synthetic CT-derived "broken" scans and fail when simulated breakage doesn't match reality; ZODIAC instead learns a zero-shot diffusion prior of healthy spines.
