Model AI companies as impersonal organisms — govern them with rules, not persuasion

AI safety researcher Joshua Saxe argues that media and safety folks wrongly imagine AI companies as collections of personalities to be influenced.

With many companies near the frontier and trillions in assets at stake, he says we should model them as impersonal social organisms and focus on governing them through policies and rules rather than personal persuasion.
