Super Smash Bros Melee Fully Decompiled After 6 Years, LLMs Sealed the Deal

Developer banteg announced that Super Smash Bros Melee has been fully decompiled. The project started in July 2020 and took over six years, with progress hugely accelerated by LLMs and finished off with Astra. It's a very large game with 3.88MB of compiled code — a landmark case of LLM-assisted reverse engineering on a massive legacy codebase.
