Northwestern launches AI4Energy postdoc fellowship bridging AI, nanotech and energy science

Northwestern University's Paula M. Trienens Institute for Sustainability and Energy, together with the International Institute for Nanotechnology (IIN), has launched the AI4Energy IIN/Trienens postdoctoral fellowship for early-career researchers working at the intersection of AI, nanoscience, and energy materials and systems.
Key points:
- Each fellow is co-advised by two Northwestern faculty spanning AI/ML, nanomaterials, and domain-focused energy science
- Open to recent or soon-to-graduate PhDs in materials science, chemistry, engineering, computer science, and applied physics
- Encourages collaboration with regional partners including Argonne National Laboratory
- Faculty on the AI side are inviting interested AI-for-Science researchers to co-advise
