Dev builds FreeBuff MCP to route ChatGPT tasks to free agent models
Swimming_Ask3859 · reddit · 2026-09-08
A GPT Plus user open-sourced a community MCP connector: freebuff-mcp. FreeBuff is a desktop/CLI agent offering free models (DeepSeek V4 Flash, GLM 5.3 Flash, 5.6 Luna, Solar 4 Pro), useful for executing tasks without burning ChatGPT usage limits.
The author built the MCP to combine Luna/Terra as the planner with FreeBuff as the implementer. Work in progress includes letting ChatGPT or Claude check live task progress; the dev is soliciting security and compatibility feedback.
