Preliminary experiment: asking the model to reproduce numbers from a 2015 paper on Mo/Si mirror interface roughness using resonant diffuse EUV scattering, purely computationally. It fails — and discovers its own mathematical model is flawed. A concrete negative data point on whether frontier models can replace research trial-and-error.
