Dev builds visual editor that writes your tweaks straight into AI-generated code

Fun-Disaster4212 · reddit · 2026-09-08

A developer frustrated with burning tokens on tiny fixes to AI-generated websites built a tool that lets you click elements to drag, resize, edit text, or swap images — changes write directly back into the code.

Current features: drag/resize/text editing, image and background changes with local uploads, side-by-side desktop/tablet/mobile previews with canvas zoom, container- or element-level selection, edit history with undo/redo. Supports HTML; React and Next.js are experimental. Supported tweaks can apply per-screen-size or globally, so mobile adjustments don't break desktop layout. The author is asking whether to open-source it.
