Red Hat and Hugging Face hosted a technical evening in Bengaluru drawing 170+ students, engineers, researchers and open-source contributors, with talks from three Hugging Face speakers and two Red Hat PyTorch engineers covering PyTorch, large-scale inference, RL environments, distributed training, and next-gen communication primitives.

The framing: India should move beyond being a large AI consumer base and become a builder and maintainer of the core ML stack itself—profilers, runtimes, training abstractions, RL tooling, kernels, and distributed communication layers.
