Creation vs curation: every bit in a created object is far more compactly describable

Responding to Toby Ord, bubblingcreek argues something feels off about creation vs curation: each bit in a created object isn't really 1 bit of information — it's far more compactly describable, via time and place, or a program referencing human culture.
In the quoted post, Ord notes a staged scene may communicate 512 bits, but a photo alone can't transmit 512 freely chosen bits — you'd have to set up the scene in the world first.
