Claude Max user reports a week of erratic usage-limit bugs and resets
tonimedic · reddit · 2026-09-07
A Claude Max subscriber of over a year reports persistent usage-limit anomalies over the past seven days:
- The five-hour window showed 40-50% used with a reset due in minutes; after resetting, usage suddenly jumped to 100% mid-task
- Weekly and Fable limits sometimes appeared near zero at the start of the day despite a reset the previous Wednesday
- One night the limits showed zero, he used heavily, and they actually reset the next day — "a beneficial bug seen as a cool feature," which now works against him
He relies on Claude across his business and wants a stable, accurate metering system over occasional free credits, asking if others are hitting the same bugs.
